Chris Jericho was the first big surprise signing for AEW, and Le Champion is sticking around. Fans of the company can break out the bubbly, because Chris Jericho is not going anywhere, and he has increased responsibilities.

Variety reports that Jericho inked a new multi-year deal which will see him receive increased responsibilities backstage as well. He will serve as a creative advisor and producer behind the scenes through December 2025.

In addition, Jericho will take on increased responsibilities behind the scenes AEW and will now serve as a producer and creative advisor in addition to continuing as a mentor to young talent.

Tony Khan dropped a quote for the publication to flex this big signing. He will retain Chris Jericho’s services and hopefully continue growing his pro wrestling company.

AEW is seeing increased competition in the pro wrestling space as WWE saw a big shift in their creative direction after Triple H took control of the company. Now, Chris Jericho’s responsibilities in AEW have increased. Only time will tell how much creative pull he will receive with his new deal.
