Live WWE RAW Results Coverage, Reactions, & Highlights For October 17th, 2022

It’s Monday night, and you know what that means! It’s time for Monday Night RAW, and Ringside News has got you covered with the live results of tonight’s show. News just broke earlier that Triple has tested positive for COVID-19 and won’t be able to make it to RAW. Instead, Road Dogg has been put in charge of the show. Despite this, tonight promises to be an exciting as Brock Lesnar will confront Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins defends his US Title against Matt Riddle.

Brock Lesnar returns to RAW

United States Championship Match: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Matt Riddle

Elias Returns

The O.C. vs. Alpha Academy

The Miz vs. Dexter Lumiz

The show starts with Bobby Lashley in the ring. He calls out Brock Lesnar. Brock’s music hits and he comes out to a huge reaction from the crowd. Lashley doesn’t wait and goes after Lesnar but Lesnar slams him into the ring post and picks him up for F-5 but Lesnar counters and spears Lesnar through the barricade. Both men are down. Security and officials come out to pull Lashley away but Bobby lashley still goes after Lesnar spears him across the announce desk and keeps attacking viciously.

He then picks up Lesnar and slams him through the announce table as fans chant “Bobby.” Lashley is being restrained by WWE officials but he asks them to stay away from him.

They walk through the rest of the show.

The O.C. (with aj styles) vs. The Alpha Academy

The O.C. music hits and they walk out to the ring with AJ Styles. The Alpha Academy’s theme song plays and they walk out to a round of boos.

Karl Anderson and Chad Gable start the match. Gable gains the control with a headlock takedown. He hits the rope but is met with hip toss from Anderson. Gable sent to the topes and taken down with elbow.

Anderson tags in Gallows and Gable tags in Otis. Gallows throws punches but Otis counters. Otis sent into the turnbuckle as Gallows attacks him. Gallows takes down Otis with big boot and tags in his partner.

Anderson distracted by Gable as Otis takes advantage. Anderson attacked from behind by Gable and sent into the ring post.

Back from commercial with Otis in control attacking Anderson. He goes for a splash and misses. Anderson then tags in his partner and Otis does the same. Gallows attacks Gable and knocks him down. Otis comes in and gets sent to the outside. Gallows then hits the pumphandle slam. Anderson enters the ring and the go for magic killer but is stopped by Otis.

In the ring Gable goes for nothernlights suplex. Cover! 1…2…kickoff. Anderson regains control and hits the spear and tags in his partner. They hit magic killer and pin Chad Gable.

Winner: The O.C.

After the match The Judgment Day’s music hits and the group walks out. Finn begins by saying “too sweet’ and calls it the same old crap. Damian then says that The O.C. is crazy to think they accomplished something last week. He then said that the only thing they guaranteed last week was getting cooked by The Judgment Day.

Finn then said he started The O.C. and challenged them to a match at WWE Crown Jewel. Aj Styles accepted the challenge and said asked to fight right now unless they all had to ask Rhea for permission.

Dominik asks AJ to shut up unless he wants to run away like Rey Mysterio. AJ says that Dominik is cool as long as he is standing next to The Judgment Day. AJ then challenges Dominik to a match. Rhea Ripley accepts Dominik’s challenge. Dominik then says he is going to rip AJ apart. But Dominik says he is not ready right now but he says he will ready in an hour.

Styles then asks him to get ready so that he can beat up Dominik.

They show a package of how Seth Rollins won the United States Championship from Lashley the previous week.

Seth Rollins’ music hits and he walks out dancing with the US Championship around his waist.

He welcomed the audience to Monday Night Rollins. He then introduces himself as the US Champ to the crowd. He tells the haters who stopped believing in him that they can kiss his behind. He then tells the people who have always believed in him to sing his song as the crowd began singing his them song.

He then proceeds to tell the audience that this is a historic night as it is his first defense in a historic run. He then tells he is going to defeat Matt Riddle before address his Extreme Rules defeat. The crowd the chants “You Tapped Out.”

Rollins then tells the crowd that he tapped out for the audience so that he can beat Bobby Lashley and become their US CHampion. Mustafa Ali’s music hits and he walks out.

He congratulates Ali on becoming Champion but says Rollins should give a shoutout to Brock. Ali then says that Lashley promised him a championship opportunity. Ali then challenges Seth Rollins for the US Title.

Rollins laughs before rejecting the challenge saying he has to focus on Riddle. He gives him two options – stay out here or leave the ring. He then tells Ali that he doesn’t belong in the ring with him

Ali removes Seth’s glasses and throws it to grow and tell Rollins that Ali is his next problem. Rollins then says that he respects Ali and calls him one of their best performers and a good human being.

He calls him a great friend before punching him and throwing him out of the ring. He then gets out of the ring and walks to the back but is attacked by Ali. Rollins attacks Ali’s throat before slamming him into the ring post. Rollins then walks away with the US Title.

A limo is shown arriving in the arena.

Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and IYO SKY) vs. Candace LeRae and Biance Belair

Damage CTRL’s music plays and the group walks out. Candace LeRae and Bianca Belair walk out to the ring next.

The match starts with Candace and IYO SKY in the ring. Both women start brawling. Candace gains control with a dropkick before tagging her partner who hits a moonsault on IYO SKy.

IYO then tags in her partner. Dakota comes in but is taken down by Belair. Dakota attacks Belair and drags her into her corner and tags her partner. Belair escapes and tags her partner in and they both send Damage CTRL to the outside as they stand in the ring.

IYO SKY regains control in the ring during commercial. She rolls up Bianca. Cover! 1,,,2,,,Kickout, Bianca hits the backbreaker on IYO. IYO tags in Dakota who comes in and attacks Belair. She sends her in the corner but Belair escapes and attempts a tag but is stopped. Belair fights off Kai and tags her partner in who continuously attacks Kai and IYO SKY.

She then hits the senton on IYO before superkicking Kai. Candace climbs the but is distracted by IYO and taken down by Dakota Kai. Candace is dragged to the corner and IYO attacks her. Cover! 1…2…Kickout.

IYO goes for a German suplex and tags in Kai who stomps her. Cover! 1…2…kickout. Kai goes for a suplex but is rolled up. Cover! 1…2..Kickout. Both women tag their respective partners. Bianca enters and takes out Damage CTRL before pounding on IYO SKY in the corner. She tags in LeRAe and they hit a suplex. Cover! 1..2..broken up by Kai. Belair picks Kaio but is sent out by Dakota before being taken out by Candace.

Bayley picks a kendo stick and attempts to attack Bianca but Belair sends her over the announce desk.

In the ring Damage CTRL hit a double team move before pinning Candace LeRae.

Winner: Damage CTRL

Matt Riddle is interviewed backstage about Seth’s comments. Riddle says Rollins is like a cheap hoverboard. He then says Rollins can make any excuse he wants but he is going to become the next US Champ.

He then tells Ali that he will give him the opportunity if he wins. They hear screaming and go to see The Miz lying on the ground holding his knee claiming a torn ACL saying he won’t be able to compete and asks Riddle and Ali to get some help. They leave get help.

The Judgment try to motivate Dominik backstage. Cora Jade approaches them and Rhea asks her what she wants. Cora then asks Rhea Ripley to face Roxanne Perez in their pick your poison match. Rhea Ripley says she is in.

JBL’s music plays and he walks out. He gets on the mic and says that this is a momentous occasion. He claims he has an announcement. He then tells the audience he apologizes for doing this in Oklahoma. He the insults the crowd. He says that as much as he loves to bash Oklahoma he has great news that Rey Mysterio has left Monday Night RAW and calls him one of the worst human beings on the planet.

He then say that resulted in a trade and asks people to get on their feet and welcome Baron Corbin and the crowd starts booing.

Corbin’s theme song plays and he walks out as the crowd continues to boo him. JBL then says he is 3 times the size of Rey Mysterio and ask for competition. JBL then insults Dolph Ziggler and says he wouldn’t have been around in the attitude era.

He then calls Corbin a star who will be a champion in any generation and calls him the Modern Day Wrestling God.

Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler’s music hits and he walks out. The match begins with Corbin sending Ziggler out of the ring. He then throws him back in the ring. Ziggler tries to fight him but Corbin hits the big boot.

Corbin then picks up Ziggler and attacks him again in the corner. Ziggler tries to fight back but is knocked down again. Cover! 1…2..kickout, Corbin picks up Ziggler and sends him to the rope but is kicked by Ziggler who attacks him and plants him with a DDT. Cover! 1…2…kickout.

Dolph continues to attack Corbin in the corner. Corbin regains control with a reverse suplex. He then hits the clothesline on Ziggler and taunts the crowd. Corbin then slams Dolph into the steel steps.

Corbin continues the assault on Dolph. Ziggler attacks Corbin in the corner and hits the neckbreaker followed by the elbow drop. Cover! 1…2…kickout.

Dolph hits the ropes but is caught by Corbin who hits the fallaway slam. Cover! 1..2..kickout. Dolph hits the famasser. Cover! 1..2…kickout. Both men exchange blows Corbin hits deep six. Cover! 1…2..kickout. He drags Dolph to the corner and sets him up on the turnbuckle. Dolph fights him and goes for ZigZag. Cover! 1….2…kickout.

Dolph goes for superkick but is caught and Corbin hits end of days for the win.

Miz is in the doctor’s office backstage. He asks the doctor if he need surgery. Byron Saxton ask him about his condition. Byron says that people saw him stage this accident. Miz seems insulted by this accusation and he say that other people are trying to fabricate those accusation.

Johnny Gargano shouts “it’s Dexter Lumis” and he jumps to his feet. It looks like Miz is healed.

MVP is backstage with Omos. He says he wants to celebrate Braun’s strength and size. He adds that while Braun’s name strikes fear in his opponents but Omos is not ordinary. He then says that they are heading to SmackDown so that Omos can look down on Braun Strowman. He then adds that monster aren’t real but giants are.

A package plays showing Bray Wyatt’s segment from SmackDown.

The O.C are shown backstage and Cameron arrives to ask The O.C. to tag with him on NXT. Gallows then says that he will be Grimes’ partner on NXT. They then proceed to the ring.

AJ Styles vs. Dominik

AJ Styles music hits and he walks out to the ring with The Good Brothers. The Judgment Day’s music hits and the faction make their way to the ring.

The match begins and Styles attacks Dominik in the corner with vicious chops. He picks up Dominik and hits the backbreaker. Styles then hits the suplex on Dominik. AJ with a kick to the side of Dominik’s head. He then throws vicious punches on Dominik.

Dominik rolls out to the floor but Styles goes after him and throws him back into the ring. Rhea Ripley distracts AJ and Dominik takes advantage. Dominik continues to attack AJ in the ring. Styles regains control with a flurry of attacks followed by a springboard elbow. He sends Dom over the barricade before celebrating with Gallows and Anderson.

AJ drops Dominik to the mat and climbs to the top rope but is stopped by Dominik who attempts the superplex but is thrown down. Rhea Ripley interrupts and knocks Styles down. Dominik continues to attack AJ Styles. Cover! 1…2…kickout.

Dominik stomps AJ Styles viciously. He then picks up AJ and hits the three amigos. Cover! 1..2…kickout. AJ fights back and send Dom into the corner and hits a clothesline knocking him down. AJ hits the pumphandle gutbuster. Cover! 1…2…kickout.

Dominik goes for a spinning DDT from the top rope. Cover! 1…2…kickout. He dropkicks AJ and goes for 619 but is countered into the calf crusher but Dom reaches and grabs the ropes. The Judgment Day drags Dominik out of the ring. But Styles continues to attack Dominik. He is distracted by Rhea and Dominik rolls AJ Styles up for the win.

Winner: Dominik

The Miz is shown backstage with Johnny Gargano who claims to know the real story between both of them. He then asks Gargano to tell everyone the truth if he wants to stop the match. The Miz then warns Johnny Gargano that he will come after him next.

Dexter Lumiz vs The Miz

Dexter Lumiz’s music and he walks out but is attacked viciously by The Miz with a steel chair. Miz then hits the Skullcrushing finale on the steel chair before walking away

Byron Saxton interviews Damage CTRL. Bayley says she tired of people asking what’s next and let appreciate the now. Then then say they got rid of Asuka and Alexa Bliss. IYO then says something Japanese. Bayley says that Raquel and Shotzi better be watching they don’t stand a chance against IYO and Kai. Bayley then challenges Bianca Belair to a match next week on RAW.

The Miz is shown backstage but Johnny Gargano says that the only thing that will stop Dexter is he give him what he wants. Johnny says that he Miz doesn’t come clean, he will blow the whistle on him.

Elias is in the ring. He introduces himself and says it feels great to be back. He says his younger brother’s career was cut short. He asks, “{Who wants to walk with Elias?”

He further says that he wanted to do something special for the audience. Before he can begin to play his music, Matt Riddle’s music plays and he comes out carrying bongos.

Matt says that he is a huge fan and praise Ezekial and asks if Elias wants to hit his bong. Matt says that WWE means Walk With Elias. Elias then says he appreciates it but asks Riddle to take a seat while he plays his song for the crowd. Riddle asks if they can play together.

Elias promises that one day they will play together and proceeds to sit down. Elias then plays his song. Seth Rollins’s music hits and he walks out.

United State Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Matt Riddle

The match begins and Riddle immediately foes for the triangle but Rollins escapes. Seth asks Elias to go to the back, Riddle with kicks to Rollins in the corner and Rollins rolls outside the ring but Riddle attacks him from behind. Riddle picks up Rollins and hits the gutwrench suplex.

Rollins chops Riddle’s throat and attacks him in the corner. Both men exchange blows before Rollins hit the suplex. Cover! 1…2….kickout. Rollins with vicious chops to Riddle.

Riddle sends Rollins to the outside. Seth shoves Elias and Elias hits him with a jumping knee. Rollins regains control with a kick to the knee. Seth kicks Riddle in the face but Riddle counters and attacks Rollins in the corner. Rollins hits the suplex, goes for the broton but caught by Rollins. Riddle climbs the top rope and hits floating bro. Cover! 1…2…kickout.

Seth hits the discuss forearm goes again but Riddle hits ripcord knee followed by bro derek. Cover! 1..2…kickout. Riddle climbs to the top turnbuckle but is stopped by Rollins. He hits the reverse suplex followed by DDT. Cover! 1…2…kickout.

Seth climbs to the top rope and goes for frog splash but Riddle catches him with a triangle. Rollins picks him up and slams him into turnbuckle followed by a sitout powerbomb but Riddle still holds on. Rollins puts his foot on the rope. He rolls out to ringside. He asks Elias to hit before superkicking Elias. But Riddle kicks Rollins. They get back in the ring as Riddle hits powerslam followed by hanging DDT. Riddle goes for RKO but Rollins pushes him into Elias who attempted to get in the ring. He then hit the stomp for the win.

Winner: Seth Rollins (c)

After the match, Seth Rollins hits the stomp on Elias. He then places the US Title under Riddle and goes for The Stomp but Mustafa interrupts and attacks him followed by a suicide dive on the outside. He then sends Seth into the crowd as Rollins runs away.
