Kenny Omega was part of the backstage brawl at the AEW All Out pay-per-view event, which resulted in him getting suspended from AEW. It turns out that incident has cost Omega a major show.
The AAA TripleMania XXX: Mexico City event took place this Saturday night and the two major stars were absent from the show. Omega was pulled out due to his AEW suspension and Thunder Rosa couldn’t make it as she is out with an injury.
During the TripleMania event, Konnan was named the new head of talent relations for AAA Lucha Libre. He also revealed that he wanted to feature Omega in the event, but couldn’t due to legal troubles. Konnan had a busy night; he was in an angle where he was attacked by The Vipers, but he would later return to take his revenge.
Konnan expressed his desire for Kenny Omega to appear on the event by sending in a vignette aimed at the winner of the Mega Championship fight between Rey Fenix and El Hijo del Vikingo.
Kenny Omega and The Elite were involved in a backstage fight with CM Punk and Ace Steel. This happened after the Second City Saint blasted Colt Cabana and Adam Page during the post-PPV press conference. Everyone involved in the brawl was suspended. An external third-party investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.
