Bobby Lashley worked hard to make himself one of the most dependable stars in WWE. The Almighty is a two-time WWE Champion and a true veteran in the pro wrestling world. Bobby Lashley recently revealed that he wanted to put on 70 pounds and ‘just be fat’ for ‘severe depression’ storyline.

Bobby Lashley recently made an appearance on the NotSam Wrestling podcast. Lashley disclosed that, around a year or so ago, he presented Vince McMahon with a proposal for an angle. He wanted to go into the severe depression and put on like 40, 50, 60, or 70 pounds and just be fat.

I told Vince a year ago, I think a year or two ago, I told him, ‘I want to do this character.’ He said, ‘What is it?’ I said, ‘If I get beat one time, I want to go into the severe depression and put on like 40, 50, 60, or 70 pounds and just be fat, and then be a completely different character and then have like somebody like an MVP, or somebody that’s on my side, kind of like, pull me back and then have the crowd watch his transition back to me.’ He said, ‘There’s no way you can do that.’ I said, ‘Man, I think I can.’

Lashley was also questioned if it is true that he attempted to set up a bare-knuckles contest with Mike Tyson. “When I said that, some people reported Bobby is challenging Mike Tyson. It’s not that. It’s having the ability to be and challenge yourself against some of the greats. The only reason I said bare knuckles was because the promoter was a bare knuckles promoter. I don’t think it was gonna be a bare knuckles fight.”

Lashley also discussed if he would get in a brawl with Mike Tyson. “I got kids. I got kids to feed. Let’s talk about money (he laughs). Let’s not talk about what I will do. Let’s talk about how much I will do it for. Let’s say, $10 million. Would I do it, yeah.” Check out the full interview below.
