Ronda Rousey is certainly the most well-known name to make her way from the world of combat sports to professional wrestling. She continues to hone her craft and is now more comfortable in her current role as well.
Since losing the Smackdown Women’s Championship to Liv Morgan, Ronda Rousey has been embroiled in a bitter feud with Morgan. Fans also became tired of Liv Morgan by that time.
At WWE Extreme Rules, Ronda Rousey challenged Liv Morgan for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in an Extreme Rules match. When all was said and done, Rousey defeated Morgan to become the new champion.
While speaking on her latest gaming stream, Ronda Rousey revealed that she pitched a very different and more brutal ending for her Extreme Rules match.
“I pitched the finish to be thumbtacks. She put down thumbtacks, powerbombs me onto the thumbtacks and as a repeat to our finish from before, I would go for an armbar on the thumbtacks and they start counting the pin, but I would push up onto my one shoulder into the thumbtacks to keep the armbar on. Liv would be fighting and trying not to tap and then pass out face down into the thumbtacks, having her hand there to protect her face. They said we can’t do thumbtacks anymore. Legally, we can’t purposefully injure people and cut their skin. I was like, ‘How about tiny maple leaf pins?’ ‘No.’ ‘How about a punch of screws on their side?’ ‘No,'”
Rousey is also a proper heel in WWE. We will have to wait and see just how Ronda Rousey is booked as the Smackdown Women’s Champion. Perhaps she will have a proper reign this time around.
