Kurt Angle is widely regarded as one of the best in-ring performers in WWE history. His personality helped him win over many fans over the years. He could be a serious wrestler when needed to and he could joke around as well.
Kurt Angel’s storied career came to an end at WrestleMania 35 when challenged and lost to Baron. However, that didn’t mark the end of his relationship with the company. Speaking to Bubba the Love Spong on “The Bubba Army,” Kurt Angle elaborated about some of the details of his current WWE contract.
“I signed a nostalgia contract, which is basically just a merchandise contract. So they pay me per appearance, and they gave me a really nice deal with the merchandise contract. They gave me a bunch of money upfront, which is really cool. But I’m not obligated to just the WWE, so I can go do my own appearances and stuff.”
Kurt Angle also went on to say that he is still involved with the company backstage. He claimed that WWE is in process of making a documentary on his life.
“They’ve been really good to me thus far,” Angle continued. “I’ve been doing a lot of production stuff with them — possible TV shows. I’m doing behind the scenes stuff, which is kind of cool.”
While Kurt Angle said that he has no plans of getting back in the ring anytime soon, he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of having one final match in WWE.
