Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio remains a highly controversial figure in pro wrestling. Del Rio used to have a lot of fans but he has lost most of them by now.

Despite all that, it’s a fact that Del Rio has seen a lot of success in WWE. This is because he is a four-time world champion, two-time WWE United States Champion as well as the 2011 Royal Rumble winner.

Speaking on Wrasslinews, Alberto Del Rio blasted and criticized WWE’s championships for not meaning anything at all.

“I love the way it was in WWE when we only had the Tag Team Champions, the female title, the World Heavyweight title, and the WWE title and that was it. That tells people what it means to be a champion and for the champion, it means something. When you have that title around your waist, it means something… But if there’s like another 25-40 titles in the company, there’s no difference between one and the other. It doesn’t matter if you change the name… You see in the same TV show 25 people wearing something around their waist.”

Alberto Del Rio is also certain he will get inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame someday. Now it remains to be seen whether the Mexican star really will return to WWE or not.
