Shawn Spears Returns As A Babyface During AEW Dynamite

AEW made their big debut in Canada for Dynamite this week. This was a long time coming, and the live crowd was incredibly hot for the show. Naturally, this was also the perfect time for a return.

Shawn Spears has been out of action for a while. His wife, Cassie Lee, is expecting their first child, so he was likely enjoying his time off. He made a return this week to save Wardlow and Samoa Joe, turning babyface in the process.

Shawn Spears’ music hit, and the live crowd popped big time. He ran down, as FTR and Wardlow needed his assistance to battle the heels.

AEW’s Chairman sent Aaron Solo into the ring before FTR nailed a Big Rig. This is quite a change for Spears’ character, because he’s been presented as a heel since his debut with the company.
