Chris Jericho is a veteran in the pro wrestling business. Jericho has competed in numerous companies all over the world in his career, which has spanned more than 30 years.
Jericho has been one of the mainstays of AEW television since he debuted back in 2019. Many fans agree that AEW would not have survived had Le Champion not carried the company on his back for the first few months.
The same can be said for Jon Moxley as well, who remains one of the most dependable stars of AEW, especially when the company is in a huge crisis from time to time.
While speaking with DAZN News, AEW President Tony Khan admitted that AEW would be in a very challenging position without key players such as Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley.
“I think it’d be very challenging. If you looked at many teams, and took three players off of them, three of the most featured and productive players on the team, I think those teams would struggle
If you take [Larry] Bird, [Kevin] McHale, and ]Robert] Parish, or Magic Johnson, Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar], and [James] Worthy, or [Michael] Jordan, [Scottie] Pippen, and [Dennis] Rodman off [their] different sports teams [and] you took those three most productive players off. These (Danielson, Jericho, and Moxley) are three of the most productive players on our team. A lot of great people contribute to the show, but they are three of the most important for sure.”
After three years, The Purveyor Of Violence thought he would take part in the independent scene, but he ultimately came to genuinely appreciate AEW. On the other hand, Chris Jericho is the ROH World Champion and remains a highlight as well.
