Zelina Vega came back to WWE back in 2021 after she was released for violating the company’s ban on third party sites. Regardless, things are much better now in WWE, and she couldn’t be happier. In fact, she recently replaced another female Superstar in surprising fashion.

Vega was away from WWE since April of this year due to injury. Fans continued to wonder when she would come back as well. After so many months, Zelina Vega finally made her return on this week’s Smackdown, where she came back alongside Legado Del Fantasma.

Many people believed that Elektra Lopez was going to be joining Legado Del Fantasma, but that was not the case whatsoever. In fact, Lopez was ridiculed for a tweet that did not age well.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that many in WWE believed Elektra Lopez was going to be called up to the main roster as well. Obviously, that didn’t happen because plans changed for the former NXT stable.

I don’t know what’s going on with Elektra, but she’s not being called up. Everyone was under the impression she was [going to be called up,] including her, but they changed their minds, so she wasn’t.

As previously noted, WWE dropped Elektra Lopez from the group and replaced her with Vega, who had been out with an injury. We will have to wait and see how Zelina Vega will fare with the faction.
