Kevin Owens is certainly one of the top Superstars in WWE and has worked hard to get to where he is right now. He honed his craft in the independent circuit before making his way to WWE in 2014.
Owens is more than aware of how to get fan reactions, both as a heel as well as a face. This is why he always remains a fan favorite, no matter what he does over the years.
Back in 2017 on an episode of “Friday Night SmackDown,” Kevin Owens brutally attacked Vince McMahon, ahead of Kevin Owens’ Hell In A Cell match against Shane McMahon.
Owens head-butted McMahon after the two shook hands, leading Owens to busting open the former WWE Chairman. While speaking on the “Oh… You Didn’t Know?” podcast, Road Dogg claimed that Kevin Owens made McMahon bleed the hard way.
“For one, I’m 95% sure it was a hard way,” James said. “If it wasn’t a hard-way, nobody knew but those two. That’s the truth because we all pooped our pants when that happened. We knew he was going to head-butt him and we knew Vince had probably told him ‘don’t you hold back,’ I’m sure, that’s his character, his real human character.
“It was not planned. What we did was shoot the blood knowing that we may be on the masters that went out everywhere else, we could edit that out, or we could also turn the film into black and white if we wanted to use it going forward. It was an on-the-spot decision to shoot that and again, that’s from my vantage point from where I was sitting, the only person that usually sat next to me was Vince and he was in the ring so maybe secrets were kept and talked about that I wasn’t aware of but that’s my recollection of the night.”
There was a thought that McMahon might have “pre-bladed” and fixed it with a thin layer of liquid bandage to pull off the effect. Either way, The Chairman’s blood was very real at that moment.
Kevin Owens and Theory have been engaged in a bitter feud over the last few weeks. The Prizefighter has been viciously cutting promos on Theory, even stating that Theory is expendable, unlike him. We’ll have to see how their feud will continue, but Vince McMahon is still enjoying his retirement.
