Powerhouse Hobbs is an excellent wrestler who came from relative obscurity before Tony Khan signed him. He doesn’t do high-flying moves or has a different demeanor that doesn’t match his look in the ring and outside of it.
While speaking to Muscle and Fitness, Powerhouse Hobbs talked about how he is able to maintain the physique he does and how it helps him do his tasks with ease and in the right manner.
Hobbs is a superstar who loves to fight using his fists and he likes to do more mat wrestling. He has not been seen doing any other stuff except wrestling his opponent in any way possible.
I’m not a high-flyer, I don’t do flippy. That’s just not my style. I like to use these fists. I like to ground and pound.
I think the more I cut up … I’ll be more agile. That’s what I’m working toward. It’s about showing a different side of the beast, that ‘Monstar,’ you know?
Hobbs is a heel and turned on his tag team partner Ricky Starks after the latter lost his FTW title. The attack led to a match between the two at AEW All Out which Hobbs won.
The reciprocation of it took place at AEW Rampage: Grand Slam which was won by Starks thereby ending their storyline. It led to a positive outcome between the two superstars.
