Ruben Banks is still an unknown name to the members of the WWE Universe. The recent recruit through the WWE NIL program spoke about his selection and the possibility of being a part of the team.
While speaking to Wrestling Inc, Ruben Banks talked about the possibility of switching from track to wrestling. He didn’t think that was possible, but after seeing Alabama football player Isaac Odugbesan as part of the inaugural class, he decided to switch.
I noticed they selected him, and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s interesting.’ I never really thought about going from track to wrestling. I was like, ‘Oh, but it kind of makes sense, with the size, and the power, and the athleticism, trying to carry that over.
Ruben Banks didn’t seem confident about sharing his profile or submitting a form, but thankfully it all worked out okay for him, and he would soon join the WWE NIL program.
Banks shared that he has a goal in mind now which includes getting a degree from college and then moving up the ranks to be a professional wrestler. It looks like he has the confidence now.
I might just send in that recruiting form. I was like, ‘If they don’t, nothing wrong with that. Let’s just see what happens. And then I got a call from one of the agents there, and he talked me through the process, and what it was all about. So the whole goal in mind is, once I’ve graduated from college, and I have that degree in hand, I’ll move over to Orlando, Florida, and start my training.
He wants to move to Orlando, Florida and wants everything to work out well for him. Banks wants to start training at the WWE Performance Center after his education is over.
Do you think he made the right call? Sound off in the comments.
