Matt Riddle Says Daniel Cormier Might Hold A Grudge Against Him Before WWE Extreme Rules

Matt Riddle is set to face Seth Rollins at WWE Extreme Rules in a Fight Pit Match. The match was made even more interesting when UFC Daniel Cormier was added as a special guest referee.

Fans have speculated since then whether this could set up a storyline feud between Cormier and one of the participants in the match. Another question looming is whether Cormier will call things down the middle.

During an appearance on WWE After The Bell Podcast, Matt Riddle joked that Daniel Cormier might hold a grudge against him since he beat Jon Jones twice in high school.

“DC, World Double Champion Hall of Famer, stallion among stallions, especially in the UFC, but the guy could never technically be Jon Jones, and I would say I beat Jon twice in high school. Granted, it was only amateur and we were kinda children but still, I placed ahead of him multiple times. I was a stallion and that’s just not something Daniel Cormier could do. So, hopefully, that doesn’t come back to haunt me and DC calls it down the middle .”

Daniel Cormier in a recent interview with ESPN stated that he always wanted to have a WrestleMania. But instead, he may get his moment at Extreme Rules.
