For well over two years now, WWE has been releasing several talent and members of staff, right from the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it seems WWE is still releasing talent even now.
According to a report by PW Insider, WWE has released Nigel McGuinness. He had most recently worked for the NXT brand where he was a part of the Level Up commentary team.
Prior to that, he was working in NXT UK alongside Andy Shepherd. He was signed to WWE back in 2016 and made his WWE commentary debut in the United Kingdom Championship Tournament in January 2017 alongside Micheal Cole.
Before all that, he was a distinguished wrestler, especially in Ring Of Honor. During his run with the company, McGuinness won the ROH World Championship and the ROH Pure Championship on one occasion. Throughout his career, which ended in 2011, McGuinness also wrestled in TNA and Pro Wrestling NOAH.
