Sara Lee Memorial Fundraiser Raises Over $11k In A Few Hours

The wrestling world was left stunned by the news of the demise of former WWE Superstar Sara Lee. She participated, and won, the 2015 WWE Tough Enough, which earned her a contract.

Although she competed in NXT a couple of times, her in-ring skills weren’t good enough to keep her on the roster for long enough, and she was eventually released. However, she made headlines in a tragic fashion today when the news of her demise broke.

Bull James organized a GoFundMe for the former NXT star with the goal of raising $20,000 to aid the family in this time of need. The fundraiser was even shared on Twitter by Alexa Bliss and has raised over $11,000 in just a few hours. The fundraiser page reads as follows.

We’re all shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Tough Enough winner Sara Lee. As her loving husband, Cory, picks up the pieces and continues to raise their 3 children, the last thing anyone in that position wants to be worried about is money and paying for a funeral and everything else that comes along with it. The wrestling community has always been one to come together in the wake of tragedy and this is no different. Every penny raised from this will go directly to Cory and the kids. Sara Lee married former WWE Superstar Wesley Blake in 2017 and the couple has two children. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family in these sad times.
