Liv Morgan won the Money In The Bank match and then cashed it in on Ronda Rousey on the same night. She finally achieved her dreams and became the Smackdown Women’s Champion.
The former Riott Squad member retained her title against Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam under controversial circumstances. This led to her getting booed by fans.
In the weeks following this match, Morgan received mixed reactions from fans, with many booing her and chanting ‘you tapped out.’ While speaking on Cageside Seats’ Bleav in Pro Wrestling show, Morgan argued that in hindsight, she needed to get booed and that she is grateful for it.
It was the week after SummerSlam actually. It was cutting that promo in the ring, it was having fans pissed at me. It was such a reality dose to me that I’ll never forget, but was so grateful and appreciative to have that experience in a weird way.
Which I know sounds weird because I was getting booed. But it was just like, what I needed I feel like, to kind of really like, this is real. You are the champion, you are representing the company. You are representing this title. Everything that you do matters
Liv Morgan will defend the WWE SmackDown Women’s Title against Ronda Rousey at the upcoming Extreme Rules Premium Live Event on October 8th. We’ll have to see how she fares in the match.
