Ric Flair recently provided some clarification regarding his future wrestling plans. The Nature boy recently got the opportunity to end his illustrious career on his own terms back in July when he teamed with Andrade El Idolo to challenge Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal. This bout was termed as “Ric Flairs Last Match,” and he was serious about that.

Flair pushed himself during the match to the point where the former World Champion had to receive medical attention as he was dehydrated during the match. However, The Nature Boy overcame the scary situation and finished the match without any serious injury.

Just when fans thought that we would never get to see Ric Flair wrestle again, he sparked rumors by stating that Ricky Steamboat’s upcoming bout had inspired him to wrestle again.

However, in his latest To Be The Man Podcast, addressed those rumors by stating whether he has any immediate plans to step back in the ring again.

“None. When I say it inspires me to want to do it again…

“It’s not that I couldn’t, I will stand by this, I wish I hadn’t said it was my last match. But I don’t want to disappoint a bunch of fans by doing it again. But I got myself into good shape and then I you know, made one drastic, what turned out to be drastic mistake by not hydrating, but I feel great.

“I feel like as long as you’re healthy you want to do and you should do what you want to do when you get to an age. I mean, you know, we always will always be limiting ourselves or what things, I feel like we limit ourselves to what people think we should be doing sometimes as opposed to what we’re doing.”

Flair also noted during the podcast that he wanted to manage Andrade El Idolo, but Tony Khan was against the idea. We’ll have to see if Ric Flair stays retired from in-ring action, but odds are we might see him, at least, take a bump again.
