SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan is set to defend her title against Ronda Rousey at Extreme Rules in an Extreme Rules match. The much-hyped bout has fans buzzing about who will walk out of Extreme Rules as the SmackDown Women’s Champion.

However, the match wouldn’t be taking place if it wasn’t for a narrow escape by Morgan during a match against Lacy Evans when the reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion performed a dangerous-looking dive on Evans through a table.

During an interview with metro.co.uk, Liv Morgan admitted that she was inches away from a freak injury as he feet narrowly missed the announcer’s table.

‘Obviously, I wasn’t thinking! I wasn’t thinking and I don’t think that you even can think about things like that. There was a such a margin for error.

‘I watched it back, and my foot was this close to the announce table and I was like, “Man, if I had just jumped a little bit harder I might have broken my ankle and wouldn’t have been able to compete at Extreme Rules”.

‘Luckily everything was safe and sound, the universal took care of me!’

Liv Morgan further stated what the moment meant for her. As we previously reported, she has come to the realization that she’s “a bit of a masochist.

“I remember sitting on the post and just soaking that moment in, and just trying to really absorb it all. And then I was like, “Well, I’m gonna jump off this 10 foot tall post and crash through a table onto Lacey Evans”. Didn’t think about it once, just did it.”

Thankfully Liv Morgan’s feet didn’t hit the announce table as that could’ve caused serious injury to the SmackDown Women’s Champion that would’ve probably ended her reign.
