WWE Hal Of Famer Eric Bischoff is one of the biggest names in pro wrestling, as he led WCW to a huge dominance over WWE during the Monday Night Wars. Even now, his opinion is largely respected.

AEW debuted back in 2019 and since then has worked hard to provide an alternate product to what fans see in WWE. For the most part, they have succeeded, but there is still a lot of room for improvement.

While speaking during his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff claimed that he is not really a fan of pro wrestling matches in general.

“I’m going to get burned. I’m going to get crucified for what I’m about to say. But guess what? I don’t care. I’m just not that big of a fan of wrestling matches. I’m a big fan of the story and the way the show is architect-ed. Built. Formatted. Created. I’m a big fan of new ideas. Sometimes they work sometimes they don’t.”

AEW is a product that is largely focused on pro wrestling matches, so it is understandable why Bischoff has not been a fan of the product for a long time now.
