Andrade El Idolo is one of the most promising superstars in AEW. All Elite Wrestling signed him last year and he appeared at the AEW Double or Nothing show. El Idolo also hinted that he may be leaving the company.
Andrade El Idolo appears to want fans to know that he might part ways with the company after this coming Friday night. Andrade tweeted a message from Jose The Assistant earlier today. He thanked Manuel Andrade for everything.
You are one of the best in ring competitors, I learned a great amount working alongside you. You brought me to #AEW and I stand by your side in whatever choice you make next.
Thank you for everything Manuel Andrade.
According to AEW’s announcement at last night’s Rampage, Preston “10” Vance’s mask will be Andrade El Idolo’s opponent. The pair connected after having a face-to-face encounter in a backstage scene. Andrade responded to a fan on Twitter who indicated that they might take him off TV for a few months due to this work, similar to what they did with MJF.
Andrade responded, “Soy EL ÍDOLO ANDRADE NO ESE Niño.” That translates to, “I am Andrade El Idolo, not that little boy.” Another spectator expressed their desire for team 10 to triumph. Although it appears that Andrade is winning, it is important to note that AEW indicated that Vance should defeat Andrade because this coming Friday’s Rampage show marks the two-year anniversary of Brodie Lee’s final match.
