Buddy Matthews Seemingly Denies Report Of AEW Departure

Buddy Matthews has had an interesting run both in the WWE and in AEW. The talented superstar has performed well to his expectations so far.

He last competed at AEW Grand Slam, where he and Brody King lost to Darby Allin and Sting. It was said Matthews was leaving AEW after this.

Matthews recently said that he will be taking time off. It was even said that WWE contacted him. Matthews took to Twitter and uploaded a GIF, as he seemingly shot down rumors of his AEW exit.

Of course, this denial could have gone down for many reasons. We’ll just have to wait and see where he pops up next.

The pro wrestling landscape is always changing. It seems that AEW lost a stable in the process, and both of those guys, Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews, are both guys that Triple H knows how to book.
