CM Punk parted ways with WWE after the Royal Rumble in 2014 after being frustrated with the company, which led to him walking out on it. Punk had made it clear on so many occasions that he never wanted to wrestle again. That all changed as he ended up debuting in AEW.
Punk has been the subject of Controversy ever since he cut a shoot promo on Adam Page last month. Things have progressively gotten worse for him since then. In fact, there’s a chance of him getting fired as well.
While speaking on his Foley is Pod, available via AdFreeShows, Mick Foley made it clear that he wishes CM Punk would appreciate what he did in WWE.
“I just want him to be happy and understand what an amazing career he’s had. I thought it was a little sad when he came out and basically made it sound like anything that happened after ROH was a waste of time. This guy did some big stuff and he was a great champion. He was kind of like the glue that held that company together. He had great matches with a variety of opponents. If you can’t be happy tearing down the house with The Undertaker, then where are you going to be when you’re 55 or 60 and looking back on your career. I’d like him to appreciate what he did.”
A lot of people want CM Punk fired as well following the backstage brawl at AEW All Out. We will have to wait and see what will become of CM Punk.
