The Dudley Boyz are one of the most dynamic teams in the WWE’s tag team history. You can ask anyone in the wrestling business, and they can ‘testify’ to this statement. That being said, the brothers from Dudleyville haven’t worked together in some time, leading to a rumor about their fallout.
The tag team has won multiple championships in several different promotions, including WWE, TNA Wrestling, and ECW. 2016 saw the end of the tag team as D-Von Dudley stayed with WWE to work as a producer while Bubba went to ROH.
D-Von spoke to the A2TheK Wrestling show and clarified that WWE wanted to sign them in 2016, but Bubba didn’t think that the treatment was right. D-Von said that he wanted to end his WWE career, but Bubba wanted to do his character, which Vince McMahon didn’t approve of.
Yeah, actually, we just spoke yesterday about another autograph signing we’re going to do together. A lot of people thought that me and Bubba were at odds, and we weren’t at odds. It was just that him and I needed a break. He and I were together for 20 years. I saw him more than I saw my first two wives, which wasn’t a bad idea, trust me. Sometimes, you just need a break, and that’s what we did. We took a break, and now we’re reunited again.
Bubba and D-Von are still on good terms and talk to each other which confirms the fallout rumour about them or the news of not doing business together or being on bad terms doesn’t hold substance.
The tag team has a cult status in the wrestling business and is revered for their work between the ropes. The tables, ladders and chairs or rather any extreme rules match were their favourite. With WWE’s next event being Extreme Rules, their presence will make the fans excited.
