AEW has certainly come a long way after its inception back in 2019. They have strived to provide an alternative to WWE and succeeded in it for the most part. AEW Star Anthony Henry recently gave his flowers to Tony for always taking the time out for his wrestlers.
Henry was employed by WWE, primarily as a singles wrestler not so long ago. He competed as Asher Hale on “205 Live” and “NXT.” Henry discussed the differences in his contacts with AEW Owner Tony Khan and WWE’s Paul “Triple H” Levesque in an exclusive interview with Wrestling Inc.
Tony’s an interesting character. I don’t know that he sleeps a whole lot. He’s a busy, busy man. He’s always on the go. But he will take the time out to speak with you. That was the other thing too, at WWE, I never met Vince. I did meet Hunter, of course. And I briefly talked to him a few times and he would tell me ‘good match,’ stuff like that. But no in-depth conversations.
I talked to Tony Khan all the time. Now they’re not super in-depth conversations. I don’t go out to lunch or dinner with them or anything like that, of course. But he will take the time to thank us for being there and tell us it was a good match, or whatever. Give his feedback to us. Things like that. It is very hard to catch him when he is not busy though. So, I mean that’s comes with the nature of it.
Henry talked about his friendship with Khan. He discussed what the man in charge of AEW would take time to do. Henry gave huge props to Tony for taking the time out to thank them and give them feedback.
In AEW and on the independent wrestling circuit, Anthony Henry is a member of the tag team known as The WorkHorsemen. Henry and JD Drake have collaborated. The WorkHorsemen primarily compete in AEW’s “Dark” and “Dark: Elevation” YouTube series since 2017. Stay tuned to Ringside News for the latest news and updates.
