Malakai debuted in AEW last year and destroyed Cody Rhodes in his first feud. He was the leader of the House Of Black alongside Brody King and Buddy Matthews and found some mild success for a while.
As previously reported, AEW has given a conditional release to Malakai Black. This is due to the fact that he needed time for his mental health.
He also briefly commented on it during a recent indie show. While speaking on the latest episode of Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru, Jim Cornette accused AEW of screwing with Malakai Black before his release.
“He’s [Malakai Black] speaking in circles and riddles, but if he has had private issues go on in his life, that is terrible. But, everybody else does too, right? […] If that has caused him to want to step away from his current employment then that is fine too. But I think it may be a lot more of it is he might want to stay there at something he obviously chose to do and enjoys doing, unless they were in his mind f**king him around or f**king it up some kind of way.”
Malakai Black wanted to go back to WWE before his release. We will have to wait and see what will become of Malakai Black and if he’ll return to WWE or not.
