WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has not returned to pro wrestling since his release and is unlikely to ever will. He is certainly one of the best pro wrestlers to have ever graced the squared circle.
Kurt Angle had a tremendous career in WWE, spanning multiple World Title runs and incredible matches. This is because he faced off against the best of the best the pro wrestling world has to offer.
Kurt Angle’s in-ring career came to an end at WrestleMania 35, where he faced off against Baron Corbin. Angle would end up losing the match, much to the disdain of fans.
While speaking with Wrasslinews, Kurt Angle revealed that he would come out of retirement if he gets to face John Cena and Roman Reigns in a match.
“John, I still think that he is possibly still in his prime. So I would definitely say John Cena,” Kurt Angle said. “And the reason for that is, I’m 53 years old. I’m not the same athlete I was when I was 33. And when I decided to retire, it was because I lost the step. Knowing that John’s still in his prime, I know that he can carry me through a match. (…) I’d want a Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins, or even a John Cena. Those are the names that I would pick because I know those guys would carry me through the match.
Kurt Angle proved that he still has pro wrestling in his veins no matter what after returning to RAW earlier this month. We will have to wait and see whether the WWE Hall of Famer will make his return to WWE television somewhere down the line or not.
