Edge is currently recovering from an on-screen injury after he received a brutal beatdown from The Judgment Day. The Rated R Superstar is still absent from WWE programming for a while. It appears that his hiatus is coming to an end very soon.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Edge “won’t be out for long.” A tenured member of the WWE creative team gave confirmation that Edge is going to be back for Extreme Rules PPV. Subsequently, he’s being advertised for the same.
WWE is advertising the star for the upcoming Extreme Rules premium live event. The event is set for next month, and will likely see the WWE superstar settling some heavy scores.
WWE’s official event page is advertising the star for being in the show. He’s also teased in a promotional graphic for the event. The Extreme Rules PPV is scheduled for Saturday, October 8 at the Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA.
Edge’s hiatus was initially going to be a long one. He was recovering from a “Grade 2” MCL sprain, as the company initially announced. The Rated R Superstar is clearly coming back with a vengeance, which we can only witness on the Extreme Rules PPV.
