AEW has certainly gone through a lot of changes since its inception back in 2019. It strived to be an alternative to WWE’s product, and it has largely succeeded in that regard. That being said, one unique factor for the company is about to see a lot less love.

One of the best things AEW initially introduced was their ranking system and how they actually made sure that wins and losses mattered in the company. However, that is a thing of the past now.

Fans have noticed how the company has not been taking into account wins and losses as much anymore. According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW is toning down on using the ranking system in general now.

The company has a lot of bad press over the past coupe of months, due to their backstage issues. The fiasco after AEW All Out didn’t do them any favors either. We’ll have to see how the company will bounce back from all this.
