Triple H took over WWE, so he is going to run things his way. WWE’s November classic is set to see a couple of matches that Triple H has pitched for years.
The Game brought WarGames to NXT, because Vince McMahon hated the Southern friend rasslin idea behind the match. Now, Triple H is calling the shots in a big way.
Brad Shepard exclusively reported that WWE is bringing back WarGames. It didn’t take Triple H very long at all to confirm this as he appeared on The Ringer and let everyone know his plan.
“We’ll have a men’s WarGames match and a women’s WarGames match. The tradition of the Survivor Series has ebbed and flowed and changed slightly over time, but this will be similar to that,” Triple H said. “This will not be Raw versus SmackDown. It will be much more story-line driven. I still look at it as a traditional component to Survivor Series in there because it’s large teams of people competing. We just upped the ante a little bit with WarGames and made it evolve.”
Survivor Series will go down on Saturday, November 26th, at the TD Garden in Boston. Obviously, being a Big 4 pay-per-view, this was already a big event. Now, fans might make Survivor Series a destination event to see Triple H’s version of WarGames on WWE’s big stage.
