Leila Grey became a big presence in AEW programming when she filled in for Red Velvet. She became a member of The Baddies, who work together with Jade Cargill and Stokley Hathaway. Grey also shows herself off to her fans on social media a lot. She also got engaged to Luke Kurtis in the OVW ring.

Grey talked about her AEW experience on the Dye Sporting Network. She looked back at her AEW Dark experience and recounted becoming part of the baddies. The star also confirmed that she has in fact signed a contract with the company.

Well, AEW has been fantastic. Like, I was working with them for probably like a year and a half doing the dark matches. I started in March of 2021. This past Summer, in July, I was signed. Now, I’m part of The Baddies alongside the TBS Champion, Jade Cargill — you already know — and Kiera Hogan, Red Velvet, when she comes back; she’s injured right now.

Leila Grey got a different treatment for signing announcements from AEW than most stars do. While most AEW stars upon signing get a social media announcement, Grey transitioned from Dark to working with The Baddies.

The nature of Grey’s contract is also unknown. Cody Rhodes from his time as AEW Vice President explained that there are “tier one, two, three, four, and tier Jericho.” Grey will accompany Cargill in her TBS Championship match against Diamante on AEW Rampage’s Friday edition.
