Chris Jericho worked hard to establish himself as one of the most well-respected wrestlers in the pro wrestling business. Jericho has competed in various promotions all over the world in his career, which has spanned more than 30 years.
Jericho became the Undisputed Champion after beating both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin on the same night at Vengeance 2001. While it was a historic moment, his reign was anything but.
The Wizard still had an iconic career in WWE despite its shortcomings. While speaking on the latest Talk Is Jericho, Chris Jericho revealed that he simply hated being told what to do in WWE.
“The one thing in WWE was, a lot of times they’re like ‘Draw me a picture.’ [I’m like] ‘What would you like a picture of Vince?’ ‘A cow.’ ‘Okay.’ ‘Ugh, Make it a horse.’ ‘Uh, Okay,’ ‘Umm make a dragon.’ ‘Oh okay.’ With Tony it’s like ‘We need a dragon.’ It might be a green dragon. It might be a red dragon. It might be a fire dragon.” said Chris Jericho, “At least we know where we’re going with it.
I loved working with Vince, and I did work with Vince, but it’s writers [that I don’t like]. Every Sunday, the writer would call you and say, ‘Here’s what you’re doing this week.’ That to me is just like, ‘I f*cking don’t like that, man. I don’t want to be told what I’m doing.’”
Chris Jericho is set to challenge Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Championship at AEW Grand Slam next week. We’ll have to see who will come out on top in the match.
