“The Dragon” is ready to return to the ring after a 12-year hiatus. The former champion has made appearances in various companies, including a recent one during an AEW event.
There’s news that Ricky will return to the Dorton Arena in Raleigh, NC on Sunday, November 27th. The legend will wrestle in a possible tag team bout for Big Time Wrestling. Big Time Wrestling co-owner Steve Perkins was excited about the news.
Ricky Steamboat is one of the greatest all-time, and we’re excited to bring a legend back to the ring,” Big Time Wrestling co-owner Steve Perkins said. “Interest will be high, and ticket sales will begin today.
The last time Ricky returned to the wrestling ring was on June 18th, 2010 at an FCW WWE developmental event, where he teamed with his son, Richie Steamboat, against Trent Beretta and Caylen Croft. His last singles match was a win over Drew McIntyre at the August 2nd, 2009 WWE live event.
The legend has worked well over his wrestling career and has impacted a multitude of stars in the WWE and beyond. His return is surely going to make waves in the wrestling division.
This may also open a return to the WWE with him working in some other capacity except as a wrestler. Triple H may be open for business with “The Dragon” in case the price and the timing is right.
