Skye Blue has years of experience as a wrestler and working for numerous promotions but most fans didn’t know about her until her AEW debut. She’s gotten a lot of attention ever she started appearing in AEW Dark. Blue is also under some sort of All Elite Wrestling deal.
Sean Sapp recently revealed behind Fightful’s paywall that 22-year-old Skye Blue is bound by some form of contract with All Elite Wrestling. Since she has appeared in approximately 50 AEW matches over the course of the past year, this is not particularly surprising.
The majority of Skye Blue’s matches are on AEW Dark. Blue made some of her earliest AEW appearances in Jacksonville during the Daily’s Place tapings, but she received thunderous ovations in her own Chicago prior to All Out 2021, which helped get her a spot in the Casino Battle Royale. She has competed in eight televised contests for AEW aside from Dark.
22-year old Skye Blue is under some sort of All Elite Wrestling deal, sources tell Fightful. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise, as she’s been regularly featured for over a year, to the tune of nearly 50 AEW matches. There was never an All Elite graphic provided for her, so it remains to be seen if it’s a full-time or tiered deal, but promoters tell us they when they try to book her it has to be approved by All Elite Wrestling.
Skye Blue largely competes on AEW Dark, but did land in a featured spot alongside Dante Martin as they competed against Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Titles on AEW Rampage in August. Some of Blue’s first appearances in AEW happened in Jacksonville during the Daily’s Place tapings, but she got incredible ovations in her hometown of Chicago ahead of All Out 2021 that helped land her in the Casino Battle Royale. In all, she’s had eight televised matches for AEW outside of Dark.
Skye Blue started her professional wrestling career back in 2017. Her first match took place at a Premier Pro Wrestling event where she lost to another indie wrestler named Sierra. After working for PPW for a few months, Skye started getting gigs from other local promotions as well. Let’s see what’s in store for Blue in the future.
