Roman Reigns’ massive change in character and overall mannerisms throughout the years is certainly one of the best changes in recent memory. His transformation from a boring and drab babyface to one of the most compelling heels in WWE is certainly a huge feat.

Roman Reigns was simply unbearable for many when he was a babyface and fans and pro wrestlers alike agreed with this notion. This is in spite of the fact that Reigns competed in high profile matches against the best of the best the business has to offer.

This includes John Cena, against him he first feuded back in 2017. While speaking on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, Roman Reigns admitted he blanked out during his infamous 2017 promo battle with Cena, where Cena burned him.

“Trying to think back. Yeah, I believe I did [blank in that 2017 promo segment with John Cena].

“I think just being in that position and going through that experience made me better. I don’t think it was anything like John specifically, you know what I mean? Because I take from everybody I’ve worked with, everyone I’ve competed with.

I always try to take something that I learn from them… If you’re an offensive coordinator, I’m working under you as a quarterback coach or something and it’s like, man, that offense was good. I take everything that I like from it, then I’ma add a little bit to my own playbook and then now I got my own formula here. I took a little from you, a little from you…”

Reigns would go on to defeat John Cena at No Mercy 2017 and also at Money In The Bank last year. We will have to wait and see whether they will ever clash again in the future.
