AEW made a few plans in advance for this week’s Dynamite, but one match will have to switch things up. It looks like things have changed and AEW has made alterations, but that’s all a part of the pro wrestling game.
The company previously announced that Dr. Britt Baker and Serena Deeb will wrestle Hikaru Shida and AEW Interim Women’s World Champion Toni Storm in a tag team bout. That match will not carry on as planned.
However, Baker and Rebel attacked Shida on the September 13th episode of AEW Dark, leaving the AEW interim women’s champion without a partner. AEW later announced that Athena will join Toni Storm to take on Baker and Deeb. Speaking about the attack, Baker had a lot to say.
If I can’t have my tag partner of choice [Jamie Hayter], then you can’t have yours either. So you better look around for someone else, champ.
There’s been a rift between Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker since the Four-Way Match for the Interim AEW Women’s World Championship at the All Out pay-per-view earlier this match. It looked like Hayter had the match won when Baker pulled the referee out of the ring.
It will be interesting to see if Jamie Hayter plays a role in the outcome of this tag team match this Wednesday on Dynamite. AEW also has some other exciting matches planned for the show.
