The AEW All Out media scrum ended in chaos after CM Punk went on a scathing rant on Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks, verbally decimating everyone involved. It all went downhill from there.
Punk was involved in a backstage brawl where he fought with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. As previously reported, AEW has suspended everyone involved in the brawl. There was also the chance of Punk and Ace Steel getting fired.
While speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette accused AEW EVPs Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks of withholding key information regarding the backstage brawl.
“Well, the side that burst into the locker room had at least one talent relations executive, three executive vice presidents, and the number two in command and the head of the legal department, and there’s still an investigation going on.
Well, it seems like with all the dignitaries in the company, you’d get the straight story, wouldn’t you from them, except if all those dignitaries were from the side that caused the whole problem. That’s why there’s an investigation going on because there’s more to the story than what that group is giving out.”
With CM Punk likely out of action for around 8 months, we will have to wait and see how the company will fare without him. In the meantime, the future of The Elite remains dubious.
