Malakai debuted in AEW last year and destroyed Cody Rhodes in his first feud. He was the leader of the House Of Black alongside Brody King and Buddy Matthews and found some mild success for a while.

As previously reported, Malakai Black will be taking a very long break from pro wrestling as he has been dealing with a lot of mental issues. Northeast Wrestling announced Black will not appear at the September 9 Northeast Wrestling event due to “health issues.”

“Due to health issues @malakaiblxck will not be appearing for @northeastwrestling @mvscrappers this Friday night at Eastwood Field in #nilesohio,Replacing him are @aew star @thelethaljay & @real1 fka NZO!!”

As previously reported, AEW has given a conditional release to Malakai Black. We will have to wait and see whether he will ever return to AEW somewhere down the line or not
