Kenny Omega Was Trying To Save CM Punk’s Dog Larry During Backstage Brawl

During the post-AEW All Out media scrum, CM Punk went off on Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks in an unprovoked verbal tirade. It was reported that Omega and the Bucks threatened to leave AEW over Punk’s words after a huge backstage melee broke out in Punk’s locker room during the scrum. It turns out there was a lot going on in that room.

CM Punk got into an altercation with The Elite and this also involved Ace Steel, who was said to have thrown a steel chair that hit Nick Jackson in the eye. Sean Sapp reported from behind Fightful’s paywall that the reason for Steel going “ballistic” was because his wife was in the vicinity during the altercation, with sources claiming that he was just looking out for her recovering foot injury.

It was also reported that Kenny Omega’s involvement in the brawl was him simply trying to save CM Punk’s dog, Larry, when the entire thing broke out.

The Kenny Omega involvement was said to be him trying to remove Larry (CM Punk’s dog) from the situation to help keep him safe because he was barking and going nuts. Their side of the story says that once he handed Larry off, he tried to get Ace Steel off Nick Jackson, and Ace Steel bit Omega and pulled his hair.

The Elite and many others have already been suspended after the incident. Ace Steel and Punk were also suspended, but they might still be fired. CM Punk and the rest have also been stripped of their titles and not mentioned on AEW television. We’ll have to see what will become of them in the end.
