The AEW All Out media scrum ended in chaos after CM Punk went on a blistering rant on Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks, verbally burying them in the process. However, it only proved to be CM Punk’s downfall after everything else that ensued afterwards.

Punk was involved in a backstage brawl where he threw hands with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. As previously reported, AEW has suspended everyone involved in the brawl. There was also the chance of Punk and Ace Steel getting fired.

Punk was also said to have suffered an injury during AEW All Out and even underwent surgery for the same. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that quite a few people still want CM Punk gone from AEW.

Punk may still be gone, I don’t know how it’s going to play out, but I do know that a lot of people want him gone. If he stays he has to have a completely different attitude, and I don’t think that’s possible.

CM Punk was also removed from AEW Dynamite’s opening video, and he wasn’t mentioned one bit throughout the show. We will have to wait and see how AEW will fare without Punk.
