Pat McAfee didn’t waste any time in becoming one of the best things about Friday Night Smackdown. This is largely thanks to his solid skills as a commentator and his energetic personality. Due to his new responsibilities at College Game Day, Pat McAfee has announced he will be taking a break from WWE Smackdown.
Pat McAfee recently announced on PMSLive that he will be taking WWE hiatus. He talked to WWE first and see what their thoughts were. Initially McAfee thought about doing both, but eventually decided to take the hiatus.
SmackDAHN will be on hold for a little bit while I do College GameDay.. I’m still VERY much in the WWE family & will still be doing things with WWE

McAfee previously juggled both the work but this time he decided not to go hard on himself. He has recently signed a full-time deal with ESPN as well. The New York Post reported that he will be joining ESPN’s ‘College Game’ broadcast full-time starting this Saturday in Austin, Texas from the Alabama vs. Texas match.
The Pat McAfee show has shown to be a strong brand over the years, especially during the regular season of the NFL. It will be a matter of time before the show will be on another platform. Stay tuned to Ringside News for latest updates.
