CM Punk won the AEW World Championship by defeating Jon Moxley prior to all the rumored controversy and backstage fighting that occurred after All Out and the media frenzy. Punk emerged from the ring as the winner, although he did not do so wearing his own boots.

During the post-AEW All Out media scrum, CM Punk went nuclear on Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. It was reported that Omega and the Bucks threatened to leave AEW over Punk’s words. During the press conference, Punk also declared that he was wearing Danhausen’s boots.

I’m wearing Danhausen’s boots, it’s a true story. I assume it’s like some sort of a reverse curse. I’ve had a real problem with footwear. On the “AEW Dynamite” after Double or Nothing in June, Punk fractured his foot. He will now have to undergo surgery. Punk explained the incident’s because stating that he was a fool for doing the stage dive.

CM Punk made his debut last year at AEW Rampage: The First Dance and instantly became one of their top stars. For a long time, it felt like a fairy tale, but that is long gone now.
