Bobby Fish eventually made his way to AEW after he was let go by WWE as part of budget cuts last year. He teamed up with Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly for a while in AEW, but it was not destined to last forever.

Fish later left AEW after he wasn’t happy with how he was being booked at the promotion. Meanwhile, CM Punk has been making headlines this week after he went nuclear on Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.

CM Punk got into an altercation with The Elite and that shocked fans and wrestlers alike. While speaking on The Undisputed Podcast, Bobby Fish challenged CM Punk to an MMA fight.

“Let’s just make this a formal invitation to Phil (CM Punk). Yeah, I’m down. If that’s the direction he wants to go and I mean, he could pick the time, the place, we can do it in Chicago.

“Yeah, that would be kind of fun, right? It can be boxing, it could be kickboxing, it can be MMA. I mean s**t, we can do this bareknuckle. Whatever sounds good to Phil. He can pick the weight, he can pick the place like I said. I mean whatever he wants to do but yeah, let’s make it official. Like come on Phil (Fish chuckled).

Oh, they are atrocious (Fish described Punk’s kicks). Well, you said what you heard on the sheets was that he came out throwing haymakers. He didn’t come out throwing kicks, because he ain’t hitting anybody with those (Fish laughed).

CM Punk’s physical altercation with The Young Bucks could also lead to legal issues. We will have to wait and see whether CM Punk will decide to respond to Bobby Fish’s challenge or not.
