For the past three years, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, a.k.a. The Street Profits, are considered to be of WWE’s go-to tag team specialists. With their crazy athletics and oozing charisma, they have been a hit with the fans ever since. But like all tag teams, the time together has a shell life.

During a media session at WWE Clash at the Castle, The Street Profits spoke with Inside The Ropes about the possibility that they might break up in the not-too-distant future. Ford says he hasn’t even heard those rumors until recently, and he’s focused on other things right now.

“I honestly don’t even see them, man. To be honest, the first time I heard about it was an interview, maybe last week or the week before last. I’m like, dang! Both of us just stay focused on the task at hand. We don’t have the RAW Tag Team Championship anymore, which we never lost. We’re trying to regain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, trying to accomplish something we never did before, which is win the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.

“So just with those tasks at hand, then dealing with fatherhood for both of us, dealing with wives and everything else, I don’t think we’re really worried about splitting because we have a whole bunch of stuff on our plate as it is. On top of that, it takes away from the focus of what we’re trying to do. Thinking about ‘solo this, solo that,’ it’s like the Draft hasn’t even happened yet. We’re staying focused, taking care of these babies and trying to get that bag.”

Angelo Dawkins was asked if longevity as a team was important to them, and said that it is very much a meaningful accolade.

“Absolutely. Absolutely. We’re brothers. We’ve been brothers since NXT, so it means a lot. Also following what The New Day did, they’re still together and they had their [respective] singles runs but they’ve had each other’s backs no matter what. So we’re brothers at the end of the day and we’ve got each other’s back no matter what. We’re just focused on being RAW Tag Team Champions and SmackDown Tag Team Champions.”

It would be a dream to see Ford and Dawkins be WWE Undistuped Tag Team Champions. But they have a lot to do in order to get in front of the line again to challenge The Usos.
