The AEW World Trios Tag Team Championship Tournament finals took place between The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) and Adam Page and Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and John Silver) at All Out tonight.
The match contained plenty of aerial spots and near falls. The Elite won the match after the Hangman inadvertently hit Silver with a Buckshot Lariat, allowing Omega to pick up the win for his team.
This shouldn’t be a big surprise, because the Trios Tag Team Titles were postponed until Kenny Omega could return. Now, The Elite are the first-ever AEW Trios Tag Team Champions.
Page replaced Preston Vance as the third member of the team because Dark Order’s No. 10 wasn’t medically cleared to compete in the tournament. Page and DO defeated Best Friends to earn their spot in the finals.
The Elite, on the other hand, beat Will Ospreay and Aussie Open in the main event of Dynamite this past Wednesday night. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for the new AEW World Trios Tag Team Champions.
