Brian Christopher sadly passed away while incarcerated in 2018, but that terrible situation is far from over for Jerry Lawler. He filed a $3 million lawsuit and a lot happened since then.
Brian Lawler was incarcerated for a DUI arrest in 2018. It was alleged that he committed suicide by hanging, but there is plenty of evidence to support that foul play is a possibility.
According to PW Insider, a new trial date of 11/7 has been set in the lawsuit Jerry Lawler filed back in 2019 against Hardeman County, TN. The trial was originally slated for 10/31.
Lawler is seeking $3 million in damages and compensatory damages if the court sees fit. Lawler is also seeking a court order forcing Hardeman County to force immediate changes to prevent any additional suicides of prisoners in Hardeman County custody, noting, “the order should require “Hardeman County to correct their unconstitutional deficiencies so that no other family has to go through what this family has had to endure over the past year.
This is a tragic story, and we’re hoping that Jerry Lawler can get some sort of resolution. The weight of this terrible memory must still weigh on his head.
