Wade Barrett had a memorable first run in WWE which saw him win the first season of NXT, become the leader of The Nexus and have championship runs. Barrett returned to NXT in 2020 and has been playing a color commentator role since then.

Bad New Barrett signed a full-time contract back in 2020. It was then revealed that Barrett had signed a contract extension with the company. Barrett hasn’t competed inside the squared circle since his WWE departure in 2016.

While speaking on WWE’s The Bump ahead of Clash At The Castle, Wade Barrett confirmed that he will never be competing inside the squared circle ever again.

“I’m not going anywhere near a ring again”
