CM Punk lost to Jon Moxley in under five minutes a couple of weeks ago on Dynamite. Punk showed up last night and cut a promo on his humiliating loss. The Second City Saint was confronted by his coach and friend, Ace Steel, who reignited the fire within him.

Steel dropped an expletive while grabbing Punk by the collar during his promo. The cursing wasn’t scripted and Steel said it during the heat of the moment. According to PW Insider, the AEW producer took responsibility for the error and paid an internal fine.

PWInsider.com has learned that talents were informed today that Steel immediately returned backstage after the promo and took responsibility for the error.  He agreed to a fine, which was paid and according to today’s communication from the company, will be donated to a charity.

AEW discouraged wrestlers from using expletives during live programming as well. The company has a lot of events coming up and doesn’t want any bad press whatsoever ruining their momentum.
