Sami Zayn finally won the trust of Roman Reigns and became the Honorary Uce in the process. Zayn said he wanted to protect the Tribal Chief from vultures and event performed his signature moves at a WWE live event. That doesn’t mean Zayn isn’t in a serious conflict with himself and Kevin Owens knows that.
Zayn and The Usos represented The Bloodline this past Monday on Raw. The trio was on the red brand ahead of Roman Reigns two-year anniversary as the Universal Champion. Kevin Owens interrupted the segment and this infuriated The Usos.
KO and Jey Uso soon found themselves on the opposite side of the ring. Jey asked Zayn to bring out a chair to the ring and hit Owens with it at one point during the match. Zayn did bring out the chair but hesitated to hit his best friend with the object, given Owens enough time to hit Jey with a stunner and pick up the win.
Zayn took to Twitter on Wednesday and explained his side of the story. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion said he didn’t hit KO with the chair because he didn’t want Jey Uso to get disqualified from the match. Check out the tweet below.
To clarify, I didn’t hit Kevin Owens because I felt the ref could see me in his periphery and I didn’t want to cause Jey Uso to lose by DQ.
I’ve explained this to The Bloodline and the issue has been resolved. Friday’s championship celebration will proceed as planned. Thank you.
Kevin Owens has previously stated he wants to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship with Sami Zayn. The two shared a heartwarming moment after SmackDown went off the air two weeks ago as well. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for the best friends.
