Eric Bischoff is a name known to every wrestling fan. The man was the General Manager of WCW, and he saw a lot of numbers back in the Monday Night Wars era. He eventually moved to Monday Night Raw as a General Manager after Vince McMahon bought WCW. Naturally, he has a lot to say whenever someone makes a claim about WCW.

Bischoff discussed Chris Jericho’s claims on the latest “83 Weeks” podcast. Eric agreed that Hulk Hogan got a higher share than any other superstar then, but there was no way that he was getting money off other superstars’ merchandise sales, as claimed by Chris Jericho.

“It’s not accurate, and if somebody’s got a contract out there that can show me otherwise, I’ll apologize publicly.”

“I don’t have Hulk’s original contract here. I really don’t. I’m sure somebody listening does. There was language in Hulk’s initial contract that gave him the lion’s share of his merchandise, a much larger percentage of his merchandise than other WCW talent were getting. But to my knowledge as I sit here and talk to you, Hulk Hogan wasn’t receiving royalties on merchandise that wasn’t his, I don’t believe.”

Jericho previously claimed that Hulk Hogan used to receive additional money from other superstars’ merchandise sales back in WCW. Wrestlers receive a percentage share of their merchandise sales. It is a tradition that has been going on for a long time.

Easy E has been clear that he has no information to support Jericho claims as true. He is ready to talk about it in public in case there’s a document that substantiates it.
